A service programme – Free Buttermilk distribution to more than 1000 everyday during summer in Markapur Town , Prakasam District , Andhra Pradesh.

A special service programme was arranged by our Team Sree Datta vaibhavam group during summer from 2oth May 2007 to 31st May 2007. As the regular temperature of the town touches nearly 46 to 47 degrees,  deaths also occur due to sunstroke. It is very difficult to move in the streets in the afternoon hours for the villagers who are coming to the town for their purchases etc., Even local employees are not able to walk in the streets to take lunch at home/hotels etc.,

The difficulties which are faced by the Rikshaw pullers and Mestries in the noon hours are unexplainable. Though some “CHALIVENDRAS” (free distribution of water) are arranged by some organizations in the town of Markapur under Prakasam District of AndhraPradesh, Team thought that it would be better to arrange a service programme like “Free Distribution of Butter Milk” to the people to avoid sunstroke and to give some coolness to the body.

The programme was initiated on 20th Of May, 2007 at Dornala Bus stand center of Markapur. The programme went on  upto month end and everyday  the buttermilk was distributed to more than 1000 people. The happiness expressed by the people who had the buttermilk can’t be mentioned through letters or words. The programme was organized  by our group Datta devotees from 12.00 p.m. to 02.00 p.m. everyday. A continuous recitation of “Shree Gurudatta-Jaigurudatta “ was done during the programme period. The people  blessed the members of the Group who  helped and participated in the programme. The concerned photographs and press coverage can be seen….
